Originally from Morocco, Chef Hilal started his career in London. He worked in several London restaurants, working his way up the ladder before attending Le Cordon Bleu London where he graduated first in his class in 2008 with a diploma in cuisine. He moved to Grand Cayman in 2015 with his partner and young daughter and since then has worked as a chef in several restaurants as well as a private chef where he has catered to vacationers, locals, business people, athletes, and actors. He is fluent in French, Arabic and Spanish and loves to surf. In his free time he can be found at the beach or in his home kitchen with his two children.
Chef Hilal prides himself on using fresh ingredients and honoring these ingredients with authentic, flavorful combinations and preparations. He is classically trained in French cuisine, but likes to honor his Moroccan roots and other Mediterranean cuisines. From a beach barbecue to romantic fine dinning tasting menus in your vacation villa, Hilal can accommodate all your food requests and desires.
Not only is Chef Hilal a talented chef, but he is a trained teacher as well. He taught NNVQ-level culinary classes at a college in London. He is also a father to two young children who love to cook with their friends.
